Sold the recaros off the DC2R, looks like that car will never be a street car again (ah, but you know, never say never.).

Took but bit of bargaining but the deal was done at 2am and the guys came at that time and took it off my hand.

Looks like I'm going to have funds to replace that cracked turbo manifold of mine.

To be replaced, hopefully with this - Doesn't this turn you on?

I've emailed the guys that make them, hopefully they would be gamed to help out on the price.

An Introduction

It's 2:30 in the morning now. I can't sleep, I really should be sleeping being ill with acutebronchitis and also having my little daughter down in hospital with the same.

So I think I'll put in a few words here.

The purpose of this blog is to detail my journey as I prepare for Superlap in less than 5 months (and probably some bits & bobs of other stuff). Having a written record, I hope that it gives me something I can look back with fond memories. And also take you with me on this journey.

What is Superlap? Its a time attack event where some of the fastest cars around Australia (and internationally) gather at Eastern Creek Raceway to compete with each other to record the quickest single lap time.

There are some big teams with big budgets involved, I am not one of them. I balance my racing between real life work and family commitments, and that probably explains why the last time I tracked was in November last year.

I typically work out of my Garage at home, doing most of the work myself, however, I do have support from close friends such as Adrian Norton (Toda Performance Australia), and MFactory, a small parts sideline that I do.

The weapon I will be using is a DC2 R, or a Honda Integra Type R. It's got a build engine with a turbo charger and makes something like 300kw at the wheels. I picked this car up at a good price from another friend.

I am going to stop now for today, but will leave you with an idea of the challenges ahead. This is current condition of the car as it current stands.
